A unique weekend immersion course taught by two of the most renowned dance couples in Germany: Susanne & Rafael and Judith & Constantin. We teach two tiers – one for intermediate and one for advanced students. Each group will have classes with both teacher couples. Also included: Special technique classes for followers and leaders.

Tango Island Holidays: Vis & Mallorca

Mallorca: Our trip does not lead us to a busy tourist location but to one of the most secluded and beautiful places on the island: nature reservoir Mondrago with its remote bays and beaches, pine forests, caves, and waterfalls. Christiane and me will teach classes there for two weeks in October (3-17) – you can book one or both – and DJ Christoph Ronnecker will put on the music at the evening milongas every night. Vis: Vis is a pristine island in the Adriatic sea far off the Croatian coast. Situated in a deep bay our holiday place Komiža offers a number of cultural and historic sites, monasteries and fortresses. It is also famous for its fishermen. Tango Technique for Teachers 2015

The Tango Technique for Teachers workshops provide an opportunity to improve your dance at an advanced level while also receiving valuable advice for teaching your own classes. Topics this autumn:

Sept 12 + 13: Playing with legs — voleos, ganchos, and adornments.
Nov 7 + 8: Improvisation & structure — flexible lead and active following

Please bear in mind that attending at least one technique training in 2015 is mandatory for enrolling with the tango teacher training 2016.

Tango Immersion Classes 2014

My tango immersion classes provide advanced dancers with an opportunity to work on single subjects in depth and view these from different angles. They are taught on four or five subsequent Friday evenings in Spring and Autumn. Here are the topics for 2014:

Turns for Tango, Milonga und Vals with Christiane & Constantin
Dates: 21.03, 28.03, 11.04, 25.04, and 05.05.2014, 7-9:30 p.m. each evening
Class fee for each participant: 180 Euros (includes 12.5 class hrs, book only as package)

Musical Figures mit Ines & Constantin
Dates: 21.11, 05.12, 12.12, and 19.12.2014, 7-9:30 p.m. each evening
jeweils 19.00–21.30 Uhr
Class fee for each participant: 150 Euros (includes 10 class hrs, book only as package)

Men’s Easter 2014

Leading tango is an art in its own right: When we take tango classes with our partners, initiating their movements while dancing ourselves at the same time can stretch our limits. At the Men’s Easter workshops leaders will practise only with each other to raise awareness and understanding of both the leader’s and the follower’s role. In a relaxed and supporting atmosphere we will study and exchange experiences beyond steps and figures.

The workshop weekend consists of 14 classes taught by Leandro, Sven, Stefan, and me including bodywork sessions each morning. You can book all of them or package deals including 4, 6, or 10 classes you can freely choose. There are no fixed topics: The teachers and you will settle for class subjects based on your experience, skills, and wishes at the beginning of each session. One-on-one tuition can be booked extra. Please notice: Men’s Easter 2014 is open to all tango leaders irrespective of gender.

Improvisation in Tango: Technique & Structure

Every painting needs priming on which the artists develops their unique view and expression of what they see. In this workshop we will do the same with our tango: Based on technique and structure as main pillars of our dance, we will learn to improvise freely.

This immersion class consists of four sessions on Fridays in January. It is for advanced dancers who would like to improve their technique and elegance. Max. number of participants: 20.
