Tango Island Holidays: Vis & Mallorca

Nestled in the southeastern part of Mallorca, Mondrago Nature Reserve is a hidden gem away from the bustling tourist spots. Its pristine beaches, lush pine forests, and serene environment make it a perfect retreat for nature lovers. Christiane and I are thrilled to be hosting classes here for two weeks in October, offering a unique educational experience amidst nature's splendor. Mondrago is home to some of the most secluded and stunning beaches in Mallorca. These beaches offer a tranquil escape, where you can relax and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the island. S’Amarador Beach is a picturesque spot known for its crystal-clear waters and soft white sand. Surrounded by pine trees and rocky cliffs, it provides a serene setting perfect for unwinding and connecting with nature. The beach remains relatively uncrowded, offering a peaceful escape from the more tourist-heavy areas of Mallorca.

Cala Mondrago is another beautiful bay within the reserve. Its turquoise waters and sandy shores are bordered by lush greenery, creating a breathtaking landscape. This beach is ideal for snorkeling and exploring the underwater world, adding an adventurous twist to your visit. Mondrago’s pine forests offer a serene environment for leisurely walks and exploration. The scent of pine fills the air as you stroll through the shaded paths, providing a sense of peace and tranquility. These forests are home to various wildlife species, making each walk an opportunity to discover the local fauna. The reserve is dotted with hidden caves waiting to be explored. These natural formations provide a glimpse into the island's geological history. Some caves are easily accessible and offer a cool respite from the sun, while others require a bit more adventure to reach.

Mondrago's waterfalls add to the enchanting scenery of the reserve. These cascading waters provide a soothing soundtrack to your nature walks and offer picturesque spots for relaxation and meditation. The waterfalls are particularly beautiful after a rainfall when they are at their most vibrant. Our two-week stint in Mondrago will be filled with engaging classes held in the heart of nature. We believe that learning in such an environment enhances creativity and well-being.
